Employment is like arranged marriage. Each party has to respect the opposite site and work out from there. There is no love at the first sight. That can come much later. Each must understands his or her role and carry on with the day to day living and operations. Each party must be opened. They cannot afford to hide anything that might disrupt the relationship and the daily routines. They can be close during the private hours and learn how to love and respect each other.
Most of the time we are not able to get the job that we love to do. Most of the time we are not able to get the job that exactly utilize our skills and industrial expertise. But we must love the job that we have at the moment. We must make it work since we are paid to do the job. It is as simple as that. As long as we are paid to do what we have agreed upon the employment, we have to do it. There is no other way.
One may wonder the long term relationship with the employer. One may take it the easy way and simply sit down and do the work that they have been assigned to do so. They will not go beyond that and when the time come, they go back. They come in the next morning, on time, and repeat the routine. The ones in the middle range will always equate doing the job and deeming it as them doing it excellent and beyond expectation and they deserve the top of the line bonus rate. They are just doing their job and the performance rating should be just 3. That is meeting the requirements.
