Perhaps what we have gone through may have been the sign that we are in this mess from the very beginning. There is no doubt that the people from the other side of the town are very much involved. There are plenty of witnesses that are willing to com forward and say things and give statement when the incident happened during the night. They are all local people and they knew what happened and whet went on during the previous days.
We are a little lucky with the selection of the puzzles that will eventually tabled during the competition. We are not going to be over confident but we will try to maintain our eagerness and come clean during the race. We do need to win this one to make sure we will in the final race at the end of the year. We cannot afford to lose and then the next round we have to be at the top of the standing to make the cut to the finals.
All eyes were on the end of the tables. They are the ones that are more than willing to go the distance in this competition. They have been trying for many years without any success and they are now at the end of the round and they are about to get selected into the finals on a wild card call. They are happy with the status and they are more than willing to go the distance also. We are at a crossroad. We do not want to lose but we cannot be losing to the third placing. We must be able to make the points and also make the cut into the finals. The coach is worried. We are nervous and we are not going to panic. We cannot be looking at other competitors and try to catch them from behind. We must focus on our game plane. There are also other schools that can spring a surprise in this round. We are well aware of that. They have been trying very hard during the previous rounds but they got into unlucky setbacks. Now they are very determine to make the cut also.
In the middle of the race, we are told to hold on at the check point because there is a block at the road ahead. The organizer is trying to make sure the path is safe for all runners to go through. It has been raining all night and there are reports of landslides and the people working on the ground are trying to make sure that the path is cleared and safe for the runners to go through. We are trying to keep warm at this check point and at the same time reviewing our game plan. So far so good. We are close to the calculated timing that we did last week and we are OK with the performance so far. The rest of the runners are catching up and this could be their lucky break.
We do not want to be bothered with all the fuss. We try to make sure we are inline with the rules and regulations. We refill our water bottles and try to focus on the race. It is not that easy with all the distractions and the people running around fixing things up and trying to communicate with the workers at the bottom of the hills. It has been close to 1 hour and we are not sure what will happen. we need to know the timing so that we can do some warm ups and also stretches and things like that. our body is cold at the moment and the weather is not that friendly to begin with. It is becoming dark now and the rain is going to come.
This will make things more difficult and we are a little worried. Some friends simply vanished from communicating and I really cannot blame them. I wish them all the best and I was hoping they could have given me some financial assistance. But that is not forth coming and they also have their own problems. we cannot assume that they will come running and started to pour money into our wallet and making transfer into our bank account. That cannot be real and all that stuff.
We do need to go a little further and that can be not that easy but we can try. Tomorrow will be easier and we can complete the task rather easy in the morning or anytime that we could do that. When we are in the area of the problem to walk and vomit in the early hours.
Come to the nearest place that we can relax and have a light head.
